Farewell to Lino and Carl

Sadly we say goodbye at the end of this term, to Lino Zimmerman and Carl Meyer.
Carl started with us in term 3 and Lino at the beginning of May, 2014.
We wish them well on their return to Germany and are sure that they have made the very best of their opportunities in New Zealand and their time at Tauranga Boys' College.

We also say goodbye to our two short term students from Sapporo Otani, Japan -  Hayato Arai and Taichi Sato. A big thank you to our awesome year 9 Kiwi buddies Matt and Oliver, who looked after them so well at school. We are certain that Hayato and Taichi enjoyed and were enriched by their New Zealand experience.

Boss is from Thailand and has attended Tauranga Boys College since July 2012. We are very proud of what he has achieved in the two and half years he has been with us at Tauranga Boys. Boss is respected and highly regarded by both his peers and the staff at Tauranga Boys'.

At the start of the school year we welcomed 18 new students from China, Austria, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Germany:

Lin Bi, Eric Choi, Yuki Ehara, Marcus Eichhorn, Franz Hensch, Jason Hong, Jason Huang, Scott Lee, Joon Lee, Ian Lu, Calvin Lu, Taiga Nagata, Jo Nishizawa, Alexander Rasche, Niklas Schmutz, Ryu Takeyama, Tim Yen and Yoonwoo Yi.

We also welcomed at the beginning of March, Milo Akkaraprud from Thailand and Seungho and Seungyeop Ryu from Korea.

TBC mini-golf with Tauranga Girls' College

After school on Friday 13 March, we had our term get-together with the International girls from Tauranga Girls' College.  This is a chance for the boys and girls to take part in a fun activity and get to know other International students from the Tauranga. The mini-golf was fun finishing up with ice blocks and a can of drink.

Bowentown Camp

Our annual summer camp at Bowentown, which took place on the 16th to 18th February, was a great success. The camp was a amazing experience for our new students and an opportunity for all our International boys to bond at the start the school year.
